Year of the Tiger - Africa and Asia Venture

Happy Chinese New Year! Gap Years & Volunteering in China

The Year of the Tiger started yesterday on February 14 with lots of celebrations across the world.

With dancing dragons, fireworks, and colourful parades, the Chinese definitely celebrate their new year in style! It is also an important time of year to spend with family, giving gifts and a complete feast of food!

For a taste of the real China, to make new friends and to get some teaching experience, why not think about volunteering. With AV you could experience a four-month volunteer teaching project based in Emei, near Chengdu. Teaching English at the Emei Campus of South West Jiaotang University. It will introduce you to Chinese Mandarin or even improve your current language skills and open your eyes to a wonderfully interesting culture!

Our 2010 China group are about depart on their own Gap Venture for the next four months.

Do you want to wake up every morning to the breathtaking views of Mount Emeishan, sip Green Tea, become a Karaoke expert, and explore China or Tibet on your free travel? Consider Volunteer Teaching in China.
