Itinerary - Africa and Asia Venture
Arrival | ARRIVALYou and your group are asked to arrive in Nairobi, Kenya before 9.00am on the day of departure from Nairobi. |
Days 1 - 3 | BRIEFING, ORIENTATION AND TRAVEL TO UGANDAAfter arrival formalities you will move to Lake Naivasha, Kenya for your briefing and orientation. The lake is surrounded by an abundance of wildlife. On Day 3 you will cross the border to reach the Nile High Campsite at the Source of the River in Uganda. |
Days 4 - 23 | COMMUNITY PROJECTAfter settling in, you will spend 14 working days (nearly three working weeks), in rural Ugandan villages, helping to build or renovate schools and medical facilities, or helping with farm projects and with education and sports. We will also arrange a full weekend, all-inclusive white-water-rafting rafting expedition on the River Nile, over some of the world's most exciting rapids, and a second weekend in a beautiful rural campsite next to the river. |
Day 24 | RETURN TO KENYA (LAKE NAKURU)Your return to Kenya will take you to Kembo Campsite, near Lake Nakuru, to prepare for the first part of your wildlife safari. |
Days 25 - 28 | BUSH CAMP AND WILDLIFE SAFARIA real African safari and an opportunity to see the ‘Big Five' and more wild animals and birds than you could ever imagine, in two of Africa's greatest wildlife reserves that also have some of its most stunning scenery. One day in Lake Nakuru will be followed by three days in the Maasai Mara.You will then return to Nairobi for the start of your Coast Adventure or Mount Kenya climb! |
Days 29 - 33 | Coast Adventure or climb Mount KenyaCoast:You can choose to spend this time under the palms in Diani, south of Mombasa, and on Kenya's famous coast, from where you will spend a day on a dhow in the Kisite Marine Park, watching dolphins and snorkelling the coral reefs. The rest of the time is yours to simply "chill" on the beach.OR... Mount Kenya/Tana River:You can choose to climb Mount Kenya, Africa's second highest mountain that offers some of its best views, accompanied and equipped by professional guides and porters. All you have to do is get to the top and enjoy the moment! We will then take you to the Tana River to spend a night resting and relaxing before heading back to Nairobi. |
Day 34 | RETURN TO NAIROBIWhether from the coast or from Mount Kenya, you will be returned to Nairobi to spend your last night at your campsite. |
Day 35 | RETURN TO UKYour last day in Kenya will be spent in Nairobi. We'll provide transport and you can do whatever you like - shopping, visit the elephant orphanage and lunch at the world-famous Carnivore Restaurant. We'll take you to (and pay for) all these activities on your last day. The only thing you will have to pay for is the shopping! Finally, we will get you to the airport to catch your flight home. |
