Uganda and Kenya Adventure

Outline Experience

• 3 days arrival and briefing at Lake Naivasha
• 19 days community project on the shores of the Upper Nile near Jinja, Uganda
• 5 days wildlife safari in Kenya
• 6 days coast or Mount Kenya
• 2 days Nairobi and Home

Your group's arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport is followed by a one-day orientation course, under the acacia trees on the shores of Lake Naivasha, to acquaint you with some useful tips to ensure you get the most from your time in Africa. Working alongside a locally based charity, your project will last about 14 working days (nearly 3 weeks) and takes place in Uganda, where you will be based in a beautiful campsite overlooking some spectacular white water at the Source of the Nile. During the working week you will be living in a rural village house or school close to your project. Your group project could involve:

• Constructing, repairing or improving village schools, health facilities and buildings. Without your help and financial support such work would not be possible.
• Helping village farmers in their daily chores
• Helping village children at home and at school.
• Coaching or organising village sports.
