Orientation course at the Maekok River Village Resort in Tha Ton. A chance to get to know your AV group whilst learning basic Thai and attending briefings on teaching, keeping safe, staying healthy and Thai history and culture.

Project Work (Approx 10-12 weeks)

Living and working in villages around Ban Thaton, west of Chiang Rai.

Together with fellow AVs you will live in houses in or near the school grounds, with a high level of independence. Spending significant time in one place lets you become fully involved and gain a sense of achievement.

Independent Travel (4 weeks)

Explore Thailand and South East Asia further, using the confidence and local knowledge gained on your project to make the most of your travels. Visit temples, the famous islands and relax on the beautiful white sandy beaches or take a PADI diving course. You choose what you do, but we are still on hand to help.
