Your community volunteer project will see you working in the village of Msambweni on some or all of the following:

  • Coaching sport in local schools. You might even organise a sports day.

Gap Year Adventure Quote - Jessica Wood

Short On Time, Big On Adventure

A Kenyan project leader will accompany you on all tasks and your volunteer project work will be  with the local people throughout. Whilst at Shimoni we will arrange for you to sail on an old dhow to the Kisite Marine Park to snorkel on unspoilt coral reefs and swim with the dolphins that inhabit the area.  Then, you will enjoy four days of fantastic wildlife safaris on your way back through Nairobi either to climb Mt Kenya or to enjoy some adventurous activities on the banks of the Tana River - you choose!

Finally, you will spend two days as a group rafting the Tana River before heading back to Nairobi for your final 2 days in Kenya.  We will arrange for you to visit the giraffes, the Elephant Orphanage and the largest B-B-Q in Africa, and do some final shopping before heading off to the airport.
