It's official...Costa Rica is the Happiest Country on Earth! (New Economic Foundation Report 2009)

Out of 10, Costa Ricans gave their country a grade of 8.5 and their quality of life a 9.2. Some sociologists attribute this high level of satisfaction to the idea that Costa Ricans live in a peaceful country, are surrounded by wildlife reserves, and live amongst people who are kind, respectful, and supportive, or in other words, PURA VIDA!

Nearly 27% of Latin America's ‘purest democracy' is protected, thus providing a fantastic array of flora and fauna for lucky visitors.  Costa Rica has something for everyone.  Want an adrenalin rush?  No problem - there are plenty!  Want to relax on a beach?  You'll need to be more specific - Pacific or Carribean?  Want to help protect rainforests and turtles?  That's what this AV experience is all about!  (Costa Rica Map>>)
