Every little helps..... - Africa and Asia Venture

It's pretty tough in the job market at the moment and those of you trying to raise money for your volunteering project with AV will know what a challenge it is to fundraise.

Kirsten is planning to volunteer with AV in Nepal from January 2010 and is currently working two jobs - full time rock climbing instructor and a weekend bar job - she has no free time! Her reason for working all the hours under the sun are simple....

"Nepal is to me a chance of a life experience, whereby I will learn many different things about another culture whilst being given the chance to help out. 

By working really hard now I feel I will have definitely made as much effort as possible to help the children in Nepal, furthermore as hard as it is to raise the money for my project, every little bit helps and that even though I have two jobs on the go as well as doing smaller jobs every so often for different people, its slowly all building up and I'm getting closer and closer to achieving my goal."

Whether it is babysitting, dog walking, gardening, a couple of part time jobs or a full time job - it all helps towards reaching your volunteering dream.
