David's last 2 years of his Army career were spent in Kenya, and in 2002 he joined AV to look after the Community-Environment-Conservation groups and help set up AV Adventures. He first met Nigel and Richard in Hong Kong, when also serving with the Gurkhas. His singing is much better than Richard's, as is his dancing, but his Nepali and Kiswahili are very rough indeed. David and his wife, Sarah, have 3 daughters and the youngest is seen with him here after her wedding in 2007.  He loves travelling, rugby, keeping his stomach to a manageable size and AV - not always in that exact order and, in some cases, with only limited success!
