Lions’ Tour 2009

Lions Feeding on Springboks - Join the Feast! June and July 2009.

In the bush veldt, the survival chances of 15 springboks being confronted by a pride of 15 lions are pretty slim, unless they can run very fast indeed. But in the rugby world, "Lions" and "Springboks" are much more evenly matched! We hope you will be able to join us on any of our 1, 2 or 3-week trips toTrain Hard - Eat Springbok - Sleep easy! South Africa to feel the power and share in the atmosphere of this legendary competition between sporting giants.

Each of our 3 programmes offers a choice of volunteering, test matches, bush skills and safaris. Each will enable you to make a valuable contribution to the sporting development of needy kids in this remarkable "Rainbow Nation" and, with that in mind, a part of what you pay goes into the sports development of these communities. Of course, you will also be able to soak up the excitement of the British & Irish Lions v South Africa, reigning World Champions - the most exciting event in the 2009 rugby calendar.

Sadly, only corporate hospitality tickets (at £300+ per Test Match!) are currently available and we reckon that's beyond the means of 99% of our AVs. So, we plan to be in watering holes in Pretoria and Johannesburg for the final 2 Tests - watching the games on big screens -and soaking up the ambience, excitement, banter, laughter and love of the game with some friendly ‘Bokkies'. We hope you can join us! By then, of course, you might even be able to acquire tickets locally.
