Amazing and rewarding

I would like to thank everyone at AV for making the past few months some of the most amazing and rewarding of my life. 

The amount of support and help i received, both in England beforehand and out in the villages was wonderful. It meant I could completely relax and concentrate on teaching and getting to know my family and the other AVs, without worrying about all the little things. 

i would particularly like to thank Topden and Tendup. Tendup for being so welcoming in the first week at Chitrey, for organising the half term break in Darjeeling and for his wrangling with Emirates on our behalf. Topden for really living up to his name. Apparently it means helpful in Lepcha. If that is true, it couldn't be more apt. Thank you thank you thank you Topden. 

I have heard so many horror stories of other peoples gap years, arriving in a slum with no one to meet them, tired, confused and completely lost! My experience couldn't have been more different. Thank you again AV.
